Humane is not a marketing word. It is a specific method: identify, evict, reunite, exclude, repair.
Rodenticide inside a wall void produces a dead animal in a place you cannot reach, plus secondary poisoning risk to pets, hawks and owls. Responsible companies exclude first and never bait for raccoons, squirrels, skunks or opossums.
A one-way excluder lets an animal leave on its own schedule and prevents re-entry. It is less stressful for the animal and dramatically reduces the chance of orphaning young.
Between roughly February and September most attic animals are mothers with a litter. Removing the adult and leaving the babies is both cruel and a guaranteed odor call two weeks later. Babies are removed by hand and placed where the mother can retrieve them.
Many states restrict how far an animal may be moved, or require euthanasia for certain species. A licensed operator follows your state wildlife code. Always ask.
