Walk your property once a year with this list and you will prevent most of the calls we get.
Cap the chimney. Screen gable, ridge and turbine vents with galvanized steel. Inspect soffit returns and fascia corners. Replace rotten sub-fascia. Screen plumbing stack gaps.
Cover dryer and bath exhaust vents with animal-proof louvers. Seal utility penetrations with hardware cloth and sealant, not spray foam alone. Repair crawl space vent screens and door seals.
Trim limbs six to eight feet back from the roof. Secure trash lids. Bring pet food in at night. Remove fallen fruit. Fix drainage and standing water. Screen deck skirting and trench it down.
Replace worn garage door bottom seals and, critically, the two lower corner seals, which are the single most common snake and rodent entry point in America.
